How to Use the Basic Calculator

Click the buttons or use your keyboard for fast calculations. The AC button clears everything; ± toggles positive/negative; % converts the current number to a percentage of the previous operand; √ takes the square root of the current display value.

Percentage Function

Press % after entering a number to get its percentage relative to the previous value. For example: 200 + 15 % adds 15% of 200 (= 30) to give 230. Press % with no pending operation to divide by 100.
